A Heartfelt Thank You to The Freshwater Foundation
At Heston Wellness Centre, we are passionate about promoting health and wellbeing within our community, especially among our senior residents. Thanks to the incredible generosity of The Freshwater Foundation, we have been able to bring free chair yoga classes to seniors in the Heston and Cranford areas of Hounslow borough – and the response has been nothing short of amazing!
With the support of The Freshwater Foundation, we were able to cover the costs of promoting these classes, ensuring that as many local seniors as possible were aware of this wonderful opportunity. Their grant funded the production of promotional flyers and a prominent banner outside the class location, both of which played a vital role in spreading the word.
The impact has been truly heartwarming. Our first session, held last Monday, welcomed an incredible 65 attendees, while our second session on Thursday saw 46 participants taking part. It has been wonderful to see so many seniors embracing chair yoga, reconnecting with old friends, and forming new friendships in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Chair yoga offers gentle yet effective movements that improve flexibility, balance, and overall wellbeing, making it an ideal activity for seniors. Thanks to The Freshwater Foundation, we have been able to provide these classes completely free of charge, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent anyone from accessing the benefits of movement and mindfulness.
